Best Practice

Platen & Screen Leveling

Clean & Prep

Wipe ink off squeegee holder. Use Go-No-Go gauge to determine required hieight avoiding damage to PLG.

Level Good Platens

Quick-attach Platen Level Gauge and begin assessing side-to-side and front to back of each platen.

Replace Warped Platens

Warpped platens must be replaced. Refer to the Do's & Don'ts in the Quality manual to avoid damaging platens.

Level Screens

Attach the screen leveling holder to PLG and manually move front to back to determine adjustments for screens.

Schedule Quality Plan

The PLG comes with a Quality Plan that you can use or revised to suit your needs. Determine how often to level platens.

Implement Quality Plan

Choose to level platens between jobs, dailiy, or on a weekly or monthly basis. Minimum schedule should be quarterly.

Quick Attachment

The PLG was specifically designed for leveling platens using existing squeegee bar holders. The process is quick and easy for maximum results.

Battery or Power Supply

Should the batteries fail, the PLG can contiue to provide accurate readings with the included power supply. RPM supples all accessories.

Quality Awareness

If your platens are level, more accurate off-contact can be set and less squeegee pressure is required to provide higher quality prints.

Power Switch

Turns on LED front light.

Light Switch

Turns on the light to illuminate the level gauges.

Front & Top Levels

Levels from front to back and side to side.

Lines for Visual Leveling

Measure front to back and side to side of platen.
